"My Gift to You" was commisioned by Elizabeth Morgan Ellis near the end of 2008 and premiered at the Composers of Western concert in March of 2009.  It follows a simple sonata form beginning with a 5/8 waltz feel for the primary theme and a lyrical, sencondary theme.  The main focus when composing the piece was to write music that was both interesting to hear, and individual to the harp.
