Frologmites (2' 30'')

Flute Clarinet in Bb, Cello, Piano

Recording: November 2009 by Nu-BC

Short and sweet, "Frologmites" is made of fragmented colors juxtaposed against one another.  Several different extended techniques, such as false harmonics, spit attacks, and fluttertongue, are used to achieve these different colors to draw the listener into a choatic world.  Much of the piece is a single line that has been enhanced through orchestration. It has been very helpful in the development of later pieces because of the exploration of textures and the freedom away from harmony.
