Interlocutions was written for my masters thesis, and approved in May 2015. It consists of 3 movements: Status Quo, Monologue, and Dialogue. In the first movement the bass is somewhat of an outsider, causing a raucous in the texture or status quo. The second movement is a cadenza for bass that inludes many different techniques. The third movement is a conversation between the bass and ensemble in a more traditional concerto texture.
